General information
A transformer is a device that transfers electrical energy from one circuit to another, usually with a change in voltage. Transformers work only with a variable current of electricity, as well as an alternative current (AC).
A transformer is an electromagnetic device (electric and magnetic) that allows the voltage and intensity of an alternating current to be increased or decreased in such a way that its product remains constant (since the power delivered to the input of an ideal transformer, that is, without losses, it has to be equal to the one obtained at the output).
Applications
The transformer is a device that converts alternating electrical energy of a certain voltage level, into alternating energy of another voltage level, based on the phenomenon of electromagnetic induction. Powered the equipment with the necessary voltage.
