Dual-frequency cards or tags are used for pedestrian and/or vehicular access control.
For pedestrian access control it is necessary to use Mifare frequency readers (13.56 Mhz) high level protocol. Mifare cards are protected memory cards. They are divided into sectors and blocks and simple security mechanisms for access control.
For use in vehicular access, they are used with UHF (Ultra High Frequency) technology readers, with a working frequency of 902 - 928 Mhz.
